Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using LegalSign (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and LegalSign (ABN to be registered).

2. Description of service

LegalSign provides an electronic signature platform that allows users to upload documents, send them to signatories, and collect legally binding electronic signatures in accordance with the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth) and applicable state equivalents.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts to use this Service. By using LegalSign, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Send fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive documents
• Forge signatures or misrepresent the identity of signatories
• Upload illegal content or content that infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the platform
• Violate any applicable law or regulation

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all documents you upload. By using the Service, you grant LegalSign a limited licence to store and process your documents solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods unless required by Australian Consumer Law.

Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) inclusive of GST where applicable.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from temporary unavailability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LegalSign is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, you may request an export of your documents before they are deleted.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
